Why is sharing your positive status important?

Tested COVID positive? Time to tell your social circle.

If you test positive for COVID, let people you have been in contact with know, so they can ask their doctor about options to help prevent COVID.

Who are high-risk individuals you should tell?

While COVID can affect individuals differently, some people with certain underlying conditions or other risk factors* may have a higher chance of experiencing complications from COVID, including progression to severe COVID.

It is important to tell older individuals and those with certain risk factors right away if they were exposed to COVID. The sooner they find out, the sooner they can ask their doctor about options to help prevent COVID.

*People at high risk for COVID-related complications may include those with certain health conditions, weakened immunity, or a history of smoking.

When exposure happens, remember to act fast!

As soon as you find out you tested positive for COVID-19, act fast and tell those you may have exposed.

Regardless of where you caught it, COVID can impact you and those around you. It's important to inform others as soon as possible, so they can ask their doctor about options to help prevent COVID.
